Motherhood
Our ward recently had a "Zion's Place" Shopping Mall experience. I was the "owner" of the Motherhood store. I gave a talk about how we as women are all mothers, no matter what stage of life we are in. I made 85 marble magnets TWICE (the first batch didn't turn out so nice) and my sister helped me do the vinyl for the sign. It turned out pretty well, I think.

Craft Room Flooring--HELP!
I don't know if anyone even looks at this, but if you are, I could use some input. What type of flooring would you put in a craft room? I like sewing, scrapbooking, card making, and painting. The room is in a basement, so it will probably get cold. My choices so far are leave the cement floor and paint that, laminate flooring, short carpet, or tile, or something else that I haven't thought of yet. Which would you choose? Oh, and we are moving in this weekend, so if you could let me know your thoughts SOON, that would be great!

Family Home Evening Board
Growing up, my mom made a Family Home Evening magnetic board that was shaped like a house, had wall paper on the walls, and had little wooden people painted to look like each member of the family. Back in September or October, my husband Matt and I stopped into Zim's, a local craft supply store that was going out of business. What should I find, but the wooden people! I had some nostalgia looking at those, and thought that it would be great to try to recreate the board for my sisters for Christmas. It took a great deal of hunting and some creativity, but here is my take on the board.

Car Seat Tent
Not my own design, but I think it turned out cute. My MIL and I found this fabric at a quilt store that was going out of business. This is the tutorial I followed. I was too afraid to try the rounded corners, but I have seen other tents with the corners rounded, and I kind of wish I had tried it.

Camera Strap
My sister in law asked if I would make a strap for her fancy camera. It is removable and washable. I used this link here. It says that interfacing is optional, but it definitely is better with fusible fleece. After being told twice at Joann that they were getting some in the next day, I found it at Wal-Mart. This was my first attempt, and maybe I will have to make her some more to coordinate with her outfits.
